Doug has 30 years of experience in data storage software and hardware. He started his programming career in seismic in Calgary’s Petroleum Industry. He led the group to develop methods for efficient management and archiving of the growing volume of seismic data. Doug wrote the software to refine a precision pipeline corrosion laser-scanning robot which is still the standard in the industry. Doug studied biology, electrical engineering and other sciences, and graduated with a Math & Physics degree. Doug maintains his interests in experimental aircraft design & construction, aerodynamics, physics & cosmology, CNC machining, and his curiosity in the sciences.
